I recently posted about intermittent fasting and have completed my first week so I decided to do a series to keep you guys updated about my progress. I also figured it would be a good way to keep myself motivated. I am currently using an app called WeFast that I hear about through TikTok. If you guys have any recommendations for other apps please leave them in the comments for me. I heard good things about this one so I decided to check it out. I fasted for a total of 98 hours and 26 minutes.
My starting weight was 167 pounds and I'm already down to 163 pounds. I'm already dropping weight around the hips and waist but nothing around my thighs so that tells me I need to get into more physical activity. I am also waist training so that could be helping with my waist. I will be doing an article about that probably later today. I'm still struggling with getting my water intake to the recommended level. I was doing 14/10 this week and since I seem to be doing pretty good with that I'm going to move up to 12/12. It is a little rough since I'm a late-night snacker. To try to combat that I'm actually trying to sleep at night instead of staying up late.
I've been having insomnia a lot so doing this is really beneficial for me in that area as well. I need to get up and move and that is the hard part for me in all of this. I need to get back into my fitness app. Today is really the first day that I really feel like I'm getting it all together. I fell asleep last night around 9:00 and got up at 7:00 this morning. I'm already halfway through my water and just need to get outside to get my steps in but since this is the hottest part of the day I'm gonna have to wait until it cools down. Since I'm going to be doing my updates for my waist training as well I'll go ahead and include that in her as well. As you can see from my body measurements I'm 36 inches now and since I'm going to start being consistent for today I'm doing about a 1.5-inch reduction for 2 hours. In 21 days I will hopefully be able to wear it at a 2-inch reduction for 8 hours. I've done it before but I didn't stick to it so we are starting from the beginning.
I will post progress pictures as well but the pictures I have now are rather ugly so I'll start adding those when I do the updates next week. I just realized my dates are kind off from what the app tracks so I'll start doing these updates on Sundays from now on. I don't know why it has taken me so long to get back into working on my health and weight loss. I started fasting and have made it through the first week with no problems. It's probably from my mental health being at rock bottom but I also know that my issues with my weight and physical appearance play a part.
This post is getting long and I don't really have much else to say. I need to get started on my next post so I can get started doing things around the house. If anybody has any tricks, tips, or apps that might help me leave a comment. I will take any help I can get. It's only been a week and as the app keeps telling me it's not all about the numbers I need to celebrate my non-scale victories as well. It takes 21 days to create a new habit and I'm already a third of the way there.
