So I was supposed to me sleep since I have formation at 07:30 but I was afraid I would oversleep so I'm awake. I was watching a video on Tiktok of Rachel Maddow talking about a few cases since Rove v Wade was overturned where it appears that the Abortion ban is causing serious issues with medical care. If you would like to watch the video click here. I won't go into the full details because I don't want any issues with copyrights since these are not my wards on the video. I just wanted to give my own opinion on what I saw.
I would not have an abortion, that is a personal choice for me. I am completely pro-choice I can not dictate what another human being does with their body. My issue is per the video these examples seem like they would be medically necessary for the health and welfare of the mother. This law was overturned without even making provisions for instances like these. I feel as if I've said this somewhere so if I have I apologize for being redundant, but this is a big topic right now. This is kind of triggering so beware of this next story linked.
Another story was reported by Mehdi Hasan where a child just 10 years old was taken advantage of in Ohio and she had to go to another state because of the ban. If you want to watch click here. This is getting ridiculous and no one believed it occurred until the perpetrator owned up to his crime. At 10 years old you're not mature enough, responsible enough, or physically equipped to become a mother. That's just my take on it because I know I wouldn't have been ready. I wasn't even ready at 18 years old. I had to stop my YouTube from playing in the background I just couldn't listen anymore. When they are talking about prosecuting the doctor who provided the medical care needed for the 10-year-old there is something wrong.
Everyone has their own opinion and we are all entitled to that but when you hear stories like these how can you still feel that overturning Roe v Wade was the right choice? I think in this instance pro-life individuals force their views and choices on others. When we call ourselves the land of the free and then take away something that should be each individual's personal choice on choosing to have a child or not. We are taking steps back not forward. I can't even say now legally and morally when trying to give my opinion on right and wrong when all it takes is the government to add something additional to the list. What is going to be next??? I'm not very optimistic about the future of our country. Welp, I need to get ready to go now.
Unapologetically,
K
P.S. I found the post after I initially published this is called "Insanity" I linked them in Related Posts.
